I think performance-car enthusiasts have some sort of knee-jerk reaction to american cars...the way people rant about things like 'interior quality' is WAY out of proportion to any actual discrepancies that exist. A lot of people think a car is worthless if there isn't a 'DOHC' emblem on the engine or if it doesn't have something else that european supercars have. What does it really matter, if the car still performs well? And while I've never sat in a TVR or a Ferrari, I've sat in plenty of toyotas and lexuses, the interiors of which are supposedly remarkably better than any american car. But I couldn't really say there was a big difference. Sure, lexus's are nice, but they use the same plastic in the interior as any other car. I really don't get what the big deal is.
